YouBuyBitcoin is free to read and free to use, and it stays free whether you give or not. No paywall, ever.

We never ask for anything. If you love what we’re building for everyone and truly believe in the mission, you’re welcome to support it, and we humbly ask that you give only then. A donation can’t buy a place, a ranking or a say in anything here. If you’d like to give, here are four ways.

Your wallet has to support sending to Silent Payments. Many exchanges and older wallets don’t yet. A community list of wallets that do: silentpayments.xyz.

When your wallet pays it, the service behind the address makes the invoice, so that service can see the IP address your wallet connects from.

Sent from a transparent address (one that starts with t), your address and the amount are public on the blockchain; the payment still arrives shielded.

Why there’s no total

We don’t show how much has come in. None of these four ways lets anyone outside check what arrives, so a total would be a number you’d have to take on trust. We’d rather show none.

Before you send

Check the address. Compare the first and last characters your wallet shows with the text on this page, also after scanning a QR code.
It’s voluntary. Nothing on this site ever asks for payment.
Nothing in return. A donation buys no product, service, priority or placement, and no say over what we publish.
No refunds. Payments on these networks can’t be reversed.
Not tax-deductible. YouBuyBitcoin is not a registered charity.
We ask nothing else. No name, no email, no account. You don’t have to tell us you gave. If you’d like to, you can reach out, and if you’d like a thank-you, see below.

To be thanked here, email info@youbuybitcoin.com with the name or handle to show and your transaction ID (for Lightning, the payment hash). We use the ID only to check the donation is yours and never publish it. Ask any time and we’ll remove your name.

A thank-you here is just that: a name and a month. No amount, no link, no ranking, and no names that are ads or promo codes.
